SEEKING TRACTION FOR LASTING SATISFACATION
Particular times of the year are dedicated to various pursuits, purposes or perspectives. Certain times or occasions are for the purpose of Spiritual Reflection and Practice.
This is so in all the worlds Spiritual / Religious Traditions.
‘Easter’ is one such time of the year, particularly with the coming of Spring in the Northern Hemisphere. However, no matter what the Spiritual Tradition is or the occasion celebrated, we can all make use of such times for Wise Reflection of Wisdom Teachings for the purpose of seeing the Truth of things and Realising Ultimate Peace and Happiness.
I find great joy in contemplating the Buddha’s Wisdom Teachings and developing and deepening my own understanding and insight.
My verse below offers some consideration towards this end.
SEEKING TRACTION FOR LASTING SATISFACTION
We are all seeking some type of traction;
To find deep and lasting satisfaction.
And so we search amongst the world of Things;
Yet find all this but disappointment brings.
This has been addressed by the Buddha’s Wisdom Advice;
His teachings so profound and concise.
That real satisfaction is of Contentment and Peace;
The result of the Mind-Hearts true Freedom Release.
The Mind-Heart having fully let go;
The Truth of things it has finally come to Know!
That all things change and nothing lasts;
That we need to live in the Present not in the future nor past.
The Buddha’s Eight-Fold Practice Path is the Way;
Which we need to live and practice each and every day.
Now is the time for Morality, Wisdom and Meditation;
This is our Practice Trinity engaged with diligence and dedication.
All we see and know arises within our Mind;
Here Freedom is; when clinging is left behind!
Now is the time for purpose, meaning and joy;
When the Buddha’s Wisdom Teachings we take up and rightly employ!
