It is so easy to get caught in thoughts, mental states and a mood that is negative; what I call; ‘indulging in the down-side!’
During times of challenge and change we have the opportunity to maintain calm and equanimity; patience and persistence. We might even find a blessing in what we thought was a blight!
As viruses are contagious and easily spread, so does the Psychological Virus of stress, fear and anxiety.
We can share the Anti-Virus of Calm, Clarity and Appreciative Gladness and be immune to doom and gloom!
My verse below offers inspiration and hope.
Let’s not live under a cloud of gloom;
For as we know, things do change ever so soon!
Let’s choose a mind and mood of gladness;
The choice is ours for joy or sadness.
Let’s not get caught in groan and moan;
Managing our mind state is up to us alone.
Rather than being caught in angst and fear;
Hold Calm, Patience and Kindness near.
Look and align to Goodness and what is Right;
Develop Mindfulness and Clarity of Deep Insight.
Cultivate Care and broad Compassion;
To greed, anger and envy develop dispassion.
Our life is all and only what we make it be;
This is up to all of us to realise and see.
Let go of thoughts of doom;
They only create a mood of gloom.
Don’t focus on loss and sadness;
Create Joy, Meaning and Appreciative Gladness.
