Our life is a continual process Change and Transition.
We transition from this moment into the next moment; this minute into the next minute. From this hour into the next hour; from this day into the next day – the next week, the next month, the next season, the next year, next decade and finally – the next life.
More recently we have moved into the wonderful season of AUTUMN. Autumn brings cool relief from the heat of summer. Autumn displays itself with changing colours, the sounds of nature – all of which effect our mood and way of being into life.
In our Mindfulness and Wisdom-based Meditation practice – we can notice how our thoughts, mental states, emotions, moods and behaviours transition and change in response to the seasonal change. As the Buddha wisely pointed out – there is no permanency to our self – when all things change. This is why it can be helpful to notice how our self changes in response to seasonal changes.
Those of you based in Sydney may also be noticing a change in both yourself and your Meditation Practice – through not having my presence in Sydney and the connection through the weekly Meditation Group. I do hope that you are continuing with your meditation and maintaining your calm and clarity.
A number of my Sydney based Psychology clients have remained connected through Skype or Phone sessions – that work quite well. Those of you that have made use of my Mindfulness and Wisdom-based Psychology sessions in the past, I am certainly happy to continue through Skype or Phone – if you wish to make contact.
