Let’s get serious …..

Let’s Get Serious

What are we serious about?

How serious are we about Life, how serious are we about our life?

My sense is that most people do not and are not taking life and their life serious enough.

We do not even take the things in our life serious enough. Things like our health, both physical and mental; our relationships – intimate and otherwise; our work – be it self employed or employed by others; our potentials and life possibilities.

It appears that only when something in our life becomes challenged, distressed or destroyed do we then start to take things serious.

Why is this so?

Maybe because we don’t see or appreciate the realities of life such as Change, Illness, Death and Loss.

Maybe we are afraid to look – listen – learn and even let go!

Maybe we are just following the behaviour or trend of others and never considered another way of being and behaving, feeling and relating into life!

The Buddha as the Great Sage, continued to mention, motivate and move people towards realising the seriousness of the human condition, appreciating the preciousness of our human life, and using our life to Realise Reality and Find Freedom.

The Buddha’s last words were:

All things are impermanent, realise your Enlightened Freedom with earnestness.

So, lets not be complicit in our complacency and casualness towards Life and our life!
